I: For over twenty-five years Albertine has been a little oasis in The Bush. Situated just off the Green at No 1 Wood Lane, it is a wine bar where the wine comes first. The list extends to over 130 wines from round the world with around 40 available by the glass at value-for-money prices. We also sell a small selection of bottled beers and digestifs. To accompany the wine there is a daily changing menu chalked up on a blackboard with the emphasis on seasonality. Particularly popular is the selection of around 20 cheeses. The atmosphere is very informal and relaxed, with candle-lit tables in the evening and jazzy background music.

We accept bookings for both upstairs and downstairs at lunchtime and on Saturday evenings. On weekday evenings tables may be reserved upstairs only, however customers may take tables downstairs if they are available on arrival. It is advisable to book for parties of more than six. Upstairs is available for hire for private parties, seating up to 28 or 45 standing. Please note that we are closed on Saturday evenings from July 29 to Aug 26
